Cost Change Reason Codes - Really Editable or Not

Hi,


I want to be able to customize the Cost Change reason codes that will appear visible to the client and I noticed the below:

  • Oracle already provides Foundation Data with 10 Reason Codes (10 is external cost change)
  • Oracle also states that those Reason Codes cannot be deleted but can be modified in terms of name
  • The delete functionality is actually blocking to delete any reason code from 1 to 10
  • Codes 1,2 and 3 do not appear in the User interface


So my question here is the following:

  • If the Vanilla reason codes are used by the system, what is the impact of changing the description?
