12.2.0.1 - RMAN backup is hanging (krmqgns: no work found for channel default (krmqgns))

Hello,

While reviewing backup logs, on one environment I noticed a problem with both full and arch backups.

I ran RMAN with debugging, executed the test archivelogs backup command and the following message keeps repeating in the logs:

DBGRPC:    ENTERED krmqgns

DBGRPC:     krmqgns: looking for work for channel default (krmqgns)

DBGRPC:     krmqgns: commands remaining to be executed: (krmqgns)

DBGRPC:     CMD type=backup cmdid=1 status=STARTED

DBGRPC:        1 STEPstepid=1 cmdid=1 status=STARTED

DBGRPC:     krmqgns: no work found for channel default (krmqgns)

DBGRPC:     (krmqgns)

DBGRPC:    EXITED krmqgns with status 1

DBGRPC:    krmxpoq - returning rpc_number: 29 with status: STARTED16 for channel CH1

DBGRPC:    krmxr - sleeping for 10 seconds
