Are any colleges successfully using PTF for regression testing?

Are there any colleges that have successully automated their regression tests using PTF? We plan on automating all three pillars (CS, HCM and FS) and are on PeopleTools 9.2. If so, how big is your automation team and does it consist of both technical and functional experts? We are trying to figure out if the effort to automate in PTF is worth the return. Currently, all regression testing is done manually.
