XML Output from Doc Object/Application Engine

I'm trying to get meaningful sample data from this report that uses a XML Doc Object and that data comes from an Application Engine at run time. I'm trying to avoid manually creating the sample data. Does anyone know how to get meaningful sample data without commenting out the PDF output in the Application Engine and pulling the XML data from the server? I think I would have to comment out REM &oRptDefn.Publish(“”, &RptOutputDir, “XMLP”, &PROCESS_INSTANCE); then go find the XML output on the server.
