Error when Reassigning Collector to a work item in Advanced collections

Advanced Collections R12.2.9. We are receiving the following "APP-IEX-240328: Workflow for strategy xxxxx is in ACTIVE status. The error is 3205: "XXXX" is not a valid role or user name. " when trying to manually change the assigned to field for a work item.
