In Place Standby Upgrade to Database 19c for E-Business Suite database

in Database Install/Upgrade/Opatch (MOSC) Question

Hi

I'm following note 2665458.1 to upgrade our EBS 12c database to 19c. This database has a dataguard standby and this note seems to be the correct one to follow.

I've worked through section 3 and verified that logs are now shipping from the 19c CDB to the 19c STANDBY CDB.

I'm confused about Section 4.1 (Preparing the primary and standby systems for upgrade).

It seems at the end of section 4.1 I have the 12c Primary database running and the 19c Standby database running. What am I trying to accomplish here? There are no instructions to change the configuration of the 12c Primary database to try and ship logs to the 19C standby, so that won't be happening.
