how to keep long field instead of clob when using pt8.59 ?

hello,


application designer is crashing when trying to compare during an upgrade a pt857/fscm8.9 to pt8.59. the issue seems related to the record with long field. as we are under 8.9 application ,


where can we set the application designer / application server...etc to use le long field?
