How can I limit access to a tile added to My Homepage?

I created a tile using the Tile Wizard which contains a pivot grid/pagelet but I am unable to limit security to the tile. The tile needs to appear under My Homepage but only seen by our executives only. I tried to tie security to a specific Role under the Tile Page Security section but that doesn't seem to be working.

I am able to limit access to the pagelet/pivot grid but am afraid that will confuse the other users seeing a new tile on their homepage yet clicking it on tells them 'You are Unauthorized'.

Any suggestions?
