Change Assistant PUM doesn't Fully See Target DB
PS Directs you to use the Change Assistant delivered with the PUM to deploy change packages to target databases. Therefore our target databases are not on the same server as the PUM server. The PUM's server EM Hub starts up fine, but of course it won't see the target DB because they're not local (trying to map a network drive to the target doesn't work). I can configure a database target easily that connects just fine, but the change assistant says that it can't push files to the target because:
It was previously determined that one or more of the following conditions was true.
1. The EMHub is not configured in the General Options.
2. The EMHub is configured in the General Options, but EMHub is not active.
3. The EMHub is configured in the General Options, the EMHub is active, but current Target Database is not defined to the Configured EMHub
Because of this, the automated File Deploy steps in this Change Package Template were filtered from this job.
As a result, you will need to manually copy the files included in the Change Package to the various Application Server(s), Web Server(s) and File Server(s) associated with the current Target Database.
Is there any way to get it to see the non-local target servers? I don't want to use the target server's Change Assitant or EM Hub since they're on a lower tools version then the PUM.

Hello user,
Please make sure you have configured PSEMagent on the target machine and is running and HUB is able to identify the target. If HUB is able to identify the target, it deploys the file over there.

HI Gans-Oracle. Just to clarify
PUM is on server 01 with it's change assistant. It has a PSEMAgent that the change assistant connects to. It has a higher release of peoletools
Target is on server 02 with its' change assistant. It has an older PSEMagent and change assistant it connects to. It can't process any package made by the pum directly since the PUM is a higher peopletools.
If I start the Change Assistant on server 01, it needs a PSEMAgent. That PSEMAgent can't see server 02 - even if I map a network drive to it and configure the PSEMAgent it fails ("cannot read drive") to read the drive
So I think you're saying "start the PSEMAgent on server02, but connect the change assisstant from server01" to it. Is that correct?
