Is the Integration Gateway (Local) Port Arbitrary
The setup of ports for various things (like JOLT) for a PS environment is done in configuration files usually managed by the PS Administrator tool outside the PIA.
However, when setting up your Integration Gateway (e.g., a local gateway), it seems like (1) this is done in the PIA. E.g., if I go to Integration Gateway and setup the port, then that becomes the port for the integration gateway.

No velu, sorry for being confusing!
Lets say you have a new environment, AND you don't want to make a separate web server.
Lets say your web server PIA is running on 8050.
When you go to the gateway setup page to create your local gateway, what can you set the port to?
Any value?

No problem.. in this case set your gateway port same as 8050.

When you ADD a new gateway or Update a Gateway, the first page shows
It seems like unlike the port of the PIA, which is defined in the web server configuration, or the jolt port, which is defined in the application server configuration, the port for the specific gateway shown above (in this example LOCAL) is set HERE, ON THIS PAGE, IN THE PIA.
So for example if changed the above to 8061, and 8061 wasn't in use, and I restarted everything, PS would run a gateway on 8061.
There isn't any OTHER place i have to register 8061 as the gateway port, just here.

if you simply update the port here to 8061 psoft will not run in 8061.
Basically this is the gateway webserver. this can be your default PIA webserver or you can create a dedicated webserver as a gateway.
This is used for for incoming message from dowstream application to IB. this is kind of gatekeeper for all third party application which comes through and then further it is routed to application server.
i am still confused on your requirement. is this a question you are asking or you have some requirement and trying to design the gateway.?
