Approver list is not refreshed for a reject PR while editing

Why the approver list is not getting refreshed when the requisition(iProc) status is in "Rejected". For example, an approver rejects a request and the user try to change the requisition and edit the amount, as per the rule set the number of approvers should be one less that previous. But the list is not changed/refreshed till the requisition status is changed to In Process.
