Network round trip time

Hi, Is there any recommendations of having minimum rount trip time before setting up data guard between two data centres? I have a requirement to setup 2 node oracle RAC cluster in each DC & Data guard to keep both databases in Sync. So would like to know that what are the recommendations from network side.
