Is there a way to default the Include History checkbox on in Configurable Search page?

We are implementing Job Data Modernization and would like the Include History checkbox checked as soon a someone enters the Manage Job page. I tried changing the default on the component, we have tried to use P&F configuration but nothing is working. Has anyone been able to do it?
