Hello,

This query is regarding check file generated from AP Paycycle process.

Currently, we are not using PeopleSoft delivered pdf check file. Reason- the pdf file generated is huge and file transfer fails due to the size.

We have developed a custom AE process that generates "Fixed Length" flat files for check payments. Compared to pdf files, the flat files are less bulky and hence easy to FTP. This file is then sent to Mainframes where it converts this file to AFP format and sends the file to printer.

In near future Mainframe will be decommissioned in the organization. We are looking for recommendations on the file format that can be FTP easily to printer. Also, any other suggestions based on your experience with other client is welcome.
