Support for SAML2/OIDC/OAUTh2 for Peopletools 8.58?

We are using PT 8.55 and 8.58. And we are trying to implement Okta integration with PeopleSoft. So, by Okta we mean using protocols SAML, OIDC, OAUTH2 to be consumed by PeopleSoft for authentication and authorization.

Oracle clearly says that SAML2 is not supported and there are no plans to even support on further tools releases.

So, is there really a way to implement Okta-PS integration that Oracle will support?

We explored the following options -

  • Using Okta Access gateway - Our IAM team says they have not implemented access gateway and hence, we cannot implement this option.
  • Using Weblogic as service provider - Oracle says PS license for Weblogic cannot be used for core WL integration with Okta. We can use only those WL features which are developed as part of PS web server install.
