Hi,

I would like to configure the RMAN Recovery Catalog in DRP mode. If we lost the site within the RMAN catalog is hosted, I would like to use the Recovery Data Center in which is hosted a "duplicated" catalog. I imagine several solutions:

. set the RMAN catalog in a DB managed with DataGuard. When Primary is lost, Secondary is promoted as Primary and RMAN can continue to use the catalog for backup/restore. SCAN listener or proxy listener is mandatory for RMAN connectivity with the DB hosting the catalog.

. register the DBs in 2 RMAN catalogs, hosted on 2 VMs in different Data Centers. When one is lost, the second one is available. I see that in 10g, note sure it is still available in 19c.
