How to change approvers on action history?

I have a custom loan in place which has a custom workflow but once the approval is initiated and the starting with first approver under the actions the three slots default with the approver's names which should not be the case as I (as shown on attached image)

need to see the next approver on sequence and my question is how can I achieve this?
