Peoplesoft GL: How to create interunit journals for data from external system

Hi,

We are trying to generate inter-unit journals for data coming from external systems. I read in one of the documents Doc ID 831605.1 that journal generator does not create interunit balancing lines and the lines should be balanced before running the journal generator. I am trying to understand what that really means. Could you please let me know if below mentioned scenario is possible to achieve with journal generator?

We have accounting entries from 2 BUs and one has credit entries and other has debit entries and we want only one journal to be created with application BU at header and GL BU at line level. Is there a way for this to happen?
