Voucher Invoice Number Field Not Long Enough

We are on FSCM 9.2.38 Tools 8.60.09 and the voucher invoice number field display is not long enough to show the full length of the field. Does anyone know how to extend it? We've set the display but it doesn't seem to work. The search page is on the VCHR_EXPRESS component.
