PeopleSoft 9.2 EFT File Layout - Does the file counter reset to 0001 automatically?

We have had a couple of issues where the bank has failed due to the file numbering being reset to 0000 and we are trying to plan out what may occur when we get to 9999 especially if it is during a batch run.

Does the file number counter reset to 0001 after 9999 is reached automatically? or is it something we should plan for and reset the file counter to 0001 prior to when we think we will reach 9999 and 0001 during a process?.
