Archiving and Purging for EBS Financials Modules with India Localization

Since the client systems are more than 15 years old, we are planning to archive and purge some data to add space by purging and also improve performance.

Therefore, I would like to know if there are any limitations or challenges in this process. Also, could you please share any relevant document IDs or links that could help me?
