Is it possible to utilize already existing Java transformation classes within DBAT groovy?

We have onboarded The DBAT connector version 12.2.1.3.0 via AoB in our Oracle Identity Management 12c solution that is replacing an older trusted connector. Transformations is done via groovy scripting in the application for the DBAT connector while the old trusted connector utilized Java transformation classes. I was wondering if it is possible to re-use the Java transformation classes for the DBAT connector or if we need to rewrite all the transformation classes in the DBAT groovy script?

I would appreciate any guidance if it is possible to re-use the Java transformation classes.
