Automate Dev/test PeopleSoft environment refresh from Production

Oracle 12g , People Tools 8.60.07, Application: 9.2

We do refresh of our Dev/test database from production on an ad-hoc basis. It takes a couple days to get the database refreshed from the time we open a ticket for the refresh.

I was wondering if anyone has automated the database refresh using a shell script. From bringing down the app/web servers, DB refresh from production, running the Post Refresh SQL and DMS scripts and then bring back the web/app servers?

Basically, We are looking to have one dedicated database refreshed automatically every night. Any help or pointers would help.
