SYMPTOMS

Link based IPMP configured over vnets as an underlying interface may not fail-over when link on corresponding physical interface in control or IO-domain has gone down.

CAUSE

In case of link-based IPMP, when an underlying interfaces are vnets and linkprop is not set to phys-state, the physical-link state is not correctly reported to virtual-devices .

As a result link-based IPMP may not fail-over when link on underlying physical interface has gone down.
