how to return overcharged payment to the customer

While doing a sale transaction from the cashier Wechatpay payment was overcharged to the customer $54 and needs to be returned it to the customer through A/C
The original sales bill was $2917.3, but the wrong amount was typed by the cashier and amount taken from the customer $2971.3 ($54 difference)

Kindly help here…
