8.61 Check Box , Losing the Translate label Based on On/Off Switch
I am in the process of upgrading tools from version 8.59 to 8.61 and have encountered a significant issue with Check Boxes.
Previously, a Check Box could be a simple Y/N indicator or be assigned different values based on its state, such as ON/OFF. For example, ON could represent "Active" and OFF "Inactive," or "Delivered" and "Canceled." In the Fluid interface, the label would show the translate value on the left or right of the slider, which was very useful and efficient in terms of screen usage.
However, in version 8.61, Oracle seems to have dropped this concept. While the new design looks visually appealing, it loses the ability to display the translate value. This change affects even the PeopleSoft components that use Check Boxes, potentially causing user confusion as they may not understand what the switch means without the translate value.
