Data Guard - Protection Modes, can we have more than one per configuration?

I am researching about Data Guard and a question came to me.

For example, by having the following data guard configuration:

1 Primary

1 Active Standby

1 "Regular" Standby

1 "Regular" Standby converted daily to Snapshot

Is it possible to have different Protection Modes for each of then, or at least two different protection modes in this configuration?

If that is possible, how would that work and how to configure that?

If not possible, why do we have then the "log_archive_dest_n" where we can set SYNC, ASYNC, AFFIRM, NOAFFIRM?

There is a DG Broker in place already, and the current protection mode when querying the broker is Maximum Performance.
