We have a requirement to increase the length of BOOK_CODE Chatfield from 4 to 5 characters

Our source system is moving from 4 digit book code to 5 digit. This will require us to customize the non-configurable chartfield BOOK_CODE and increase the length from 4 (default) to 5 characters. What all factor/impact should be considered before making the customization.
