Looking for the ability to restrict GL Business Units from being used within AP Business Units Prin

I put this in as an Oracle SR, but it was determined "too complicated".

Has anyone ever ran into an issue where the same AP Clerks are working in multiple AP Business Units, but the GL Business Unit should only be associated to the AP BU? This is being asked since we have AP and GL Units that don't consolidate into our Financial Statements (basically Managed BUs). We can't use Combo Edits, as currently built, since the departments and accounts are used throughout the organization … but maybe there's something cool that I don't know about.
