What is the process that updates the return quantity in OSP challan

Step 1 - Create WIP JOb say 10 qty

Step-2 Move and create the PO release

STep -3 Create OSP challan against the PO release.

Step-4. Receive the quantity say 3 nos

STep - 5 - Check the return quantity column for components against the dispatched quantity.

The return quantity is not getting updated. What can be the reason?

Receiving transaction processor is run after each step of PO receipt . ie receive, inspect, deliver.
