PIA Grids Download to Excel - Update Extension to HTML

Hello PeopleSoft Community,

Oracle/PeopleSoft has had an issue for a long time with PIA grid data download into Excel, since this downloads a .xls file. But it is not a real excel file, it has data in MHTML format. This has been widely reported in MOS with no fixes delivered in most recent PeopleTools version. Cited below are a few MOS documents talking about this issue.

We recently ran into an additional problem with this issue. Our IT Department decided to enforce a new group policy to NOT open files with this issue. They set the policy 'Force file extension to match file type' to 'Enabled: Always match file type'. This is causing us to not be able to even open the files (no more warning). This throws an error and doesn't open the file: "Excel cannot open the file 'ps.xls' because the file format or file extension is not valid.
