Is running AR Aging job a pre-requisite for AR Dunning?

We are preparing to implement Dunning functionality for few customers. I would like to know if AR Aging job(ARAGE) is required to be run before we run the Dunning Extract process (AR_DUNNING)? Can AR_DUNNING be run independently by just configuring the Dunning setups?
