Is it possible to omit supplier profile field changes from requiring Workflow Approvals?

Is it possible via configuration to omit certain supplier profile fields from triggering workflow after changes? For example: If the only change to the supplier is updating a contact email address, this change requires workflow. For minor changes like these, if they're the ONLY change to the profile, we'd like to be able to designate such minor fields as requiring no approval. I don't know of a way to do this with delivered configuration, but maybe there's a way I'm not privy to?
