PeopleSoft Fluid- Long Edit box enable long edit counter property

Hi Team,

It is evident that the long edit box counter property is not working on PeopleSoft Fluid pages. Has Oracle provided any alternatives to this or just left it alone?

Also, has someone tried the JavaScript option and does it work for counting the words or characters, if yes can someone please guide me through that.
