How can we keep the submit button from disappearing when an error occurs on the form?

We have added event mapping to create an error if a field is not filled out correctly on Peoplesoft Fluid Forms. It works great when clicking Submit (does not work on Save) but after the error occurs, the submit button goes away and only the Save button remains. If the error is not corrected at this point, the Save will fire the error message. We would like to eliminate the confusion and create constancy by keeping the Submit button on the page after the error occurs. The error is in Peoplecode app package event coded as an Error MsgGet.
