Hi,

We are implementing an Oracle disaster recovery solution and need guidance on our planned database configuration.

Current Setup

Oracle Applications: EBS, Hyperion, Analytics, OAM, SOA, WebCenter, and OEM
Database: Oracle 19c RAC on both primary and DR sites for each application
Replication: Oracle Data Guard for bidirectional database replication
Infrastructure: 3rd party tools (IBM VRM, VMware SRM) for VM replication and failover
DB Operating Systems: Mixed environment - Oracle Linux 8 and AIX 7.3
Application Operating Systems: OL8, AIX and Windows

Network Configuration

Primary and DR sites are in separate VLANs with different IP ranges
Plan to use identical database SCAN names at both sites to eliminate application configuration changes during failover
