Trying to prevent the use of certain accounts in the General Ledger 9.2 peopletools 8.61vs submodule

example. account 2011015 is used in our Accounts payable, but we don't want it to be used in a manual journal.

I thought I could create a combo edit rule and use the source type as GL and have the combo edit rule exclude a list of accounts. it works just fine in that it allows us to enter 2011015 in AP; but when the subsystem journal is created through journal generate the rule prevents this account 2011015 in GL from posting the subsystem journal.

All we wanted to do is allow the submodule to use 2011015 and prevent a manual gl journal from using acct 2011015.
