monitor number of ldap calls to OID?

I have a "stand-alone" (without WLS) OID installation for database connection information.
The setup is with 2 (or more) OID servers behind a LoadBalancer.

I'd like to be able to monitor number of OID calls/queries to the servers to be able so see how the load is balanced and if any of them stopped getting calls.

I guess I can somehow do this with network packet capture like tcpdump or ngrep.
But is there any other way to achieve this kind of monitoring in OID maybe?
