PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 / Fluid – ChartField3 Appearing on Historical Transactions

Hello,

We are on PeopleSoft Financials FSCM 9.2 (Fluid enabled) and recently introduced ChartField3.

After go-live, we noticed that ChartField3 is populated on a small number of historical transactions, even though it was not active when those transactions were originally created. General Ledger data appears unaffected; the values show up only in limited sub-ledger records.

My questions:

  1. Has anyone experienced ChartField1/2/3 appearing on historical data after activation?
  2. Is this considered expected PeopleSoft behavior due to post-go-live processing or ChartField inheritance?
  3. Are there any Oracle Knowledge Articles or documented guidance on this scenario?
  4. What is the recommended best practice for handling this in future enabling or data cleanup?
