Running Edge 145.x with PeopleSoft 8.61, how to prevent the pop up " These pages aren't responding."

When users try to open a page in Edge 145.x, at approximately 15 seconds, a pop-up window appears. The pop-up states " These pages aren't responding" with the option to click on the Wait or Exit Page buttons. This page will continue to display until the page completely loads.

We are running PeopleTools 8.61.11. This did not occur when we first implemented. When I turn on Developer Tools and view the logs:

There is a violation: 'DOMContentLoaded' handler took 35556ms

It returns two warnings:

Unload event listeners are deprecated and will be removed

PT_COMMON_MIN_7:js:1647

Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user's experience.
