Extra space added above image in PeopleSoft BI publisher (RTF) template

I am trying to replace the existing signature with new one on the custom check template. Both images have identical properties. However, when I replace the existing image OR add the new image onto the template; additional space is added above the image. This leads to alignment issues of the MICR line.
