What PeopleSoft User Security is required for PT Upgrades + Application maintenance

Hi,

I am working to onboard new staff in our administrator team to support activities using Change Assistant for PeopleTools upgrades and applying Campus Solution application maintenance such as PUMs,PRPs, and POCs. These staff members currently do not have PeopleSoft or application developer-level access.   

I have been performing these activities for the past 26 years and over time, have accumulated broad access, including the PeopleSoft Administrator role.   I'm hoping to identify an appropriate, concise, and managed access for staff that is only for supporting these maintenance activities.  I'm aware of certain required roles such as Portal Administrator (I think).

I'm looking at how others have approached security if they have similar staff performing this.  Would anyone be able to share their access, roles, permission lists, and peopletools access that are assigned to performing these tasks?
