WebLogic 14.1.1 End of Support (Dec 2026) – Options for PeopleTools 8.61 Customers

Hello PeopleSoft Community,

We recently completed our upgrade to PeopleTools 8.61.09 and are currently running Oracle WebLogic Server 14.1.1. We've been informed by Oracle that WebLogic 14.1.1 will reach its end of quarterly CPU (Critical Patch Update) support after April 2027, with the broader support timeline ending around December 2026 for certain patching cycles. Oracle's recommendation is to upgrade to WebLogic 14.1.2, which is only supported on PeopleTools 8.62.

We raised an SR (Service Request) with Oracle regarding this, and the response essentially leaves us with two options:

  1. Upgrade PeopleTools to 8.62 – which introduces WebLogic 14.1.2 support.
  2. Attempt to upgrade WebLogic to 14.1.2 independently on PeopleTools 8.61 – which is not an officially certified combination
