Orchestration Scripting Language(s) for the future

This is mainly a question for Oracle folk. We've had a change of "preferential" script language (default-installed scripting language for custom script components) from Groovy to JRuby at one point in the past. If we want to keep up with the preference in some off chance that a language will roll out of support, we must refactor our scripts. It's much less of an issue these days with AI assist but still.

  1. How stable is the JRuby language preference now and in the future? If not JRuby, what?
  2. Will there be releases that update or upgrade libraries of the preferred scripting language?
