Why PCV is not working as expected?

We are trying to add custom kits for specific customers. It was working for me; when i was doing manually. Once i tried them via imports it stopped.

I tried a cache invalidation and also a reindex of the site

Steps I took:

Created several Item Collections and Groups previously.

I have enabled a bunch of items via an import. The item should only show up if a customer has that item in their item collection.

How would I only let the customers that have the item in their collection display the item. But prevent everyone else.

Example. I have set the word "custom-kit" in the search keyword. Is there something I can do to hide the item from everyone that is not logged in and everyone that doesnt have that specific item in an item collection>
