NSC | What are the effects of changing the Depreciation dates in the Asset Record?
Changing the Depreciation Start/End Dates of an Asset Record will affect the Asset Lifetime field.
Here are some scenarios to help you understand:
(Kindly note that in these scenarios, the Asset status is new and there is no depreciation yet)
- When the date in the Depreciation End date is changed, the Asset lifetime will automatically be recomputed and the system will send a prompt about it:
- When the date in the Depreciation End date is equal to Depreciation Start date, the same prompt message will appear and the Asset Lifetime will be changed to 0.
