NSC | How to Resolve Error When Unmarking Make Inventory Available in a Location Record
Scenario: Users may need to unmark the Make Inventory Available checkbox in a Location record, but encounters this message:
"The Make Inventory Available field cannot be modified while there are open sales order, transfer order, or work orders for this location. In order to modify this field, all transfer and sales orders must be fulfilled or canceled. All work orders must also be completed or closed."
Solution: As per SuiteAnswers ID 94755, this is a standard NetSuite error as system will not allow modifying records with dependent transactions on them.
It is advisable to create a transaction saved search that may aid in double-checking if there are no open orders causing the error. Here is how to create a transaction saved search showing any open orders left.
