NSC | How to use one CSV file for posting Multiple Journals across Multiple Subsidiaries?
SCENARIO:
User is tasked with uploading a CSV file containing multiple journals for posting across multiple subsidiaries. This task comes from the need to simplify the journal entry posting process and ensure accurate allocation of entries to respective subsidiaries within a multi-subsidiary company.
User is tasked to record Miscellaneous Expense with their respective bank accounts (per subsidiary):
Dr. Miscellaneous Expense
Cr. Bank Account
1 JE for the Parent Subsidiary using USD, amounting to $50
1 JE for their German Subsidiary using Euro, amounting €45
SOLUTION
Create a .csv file
Make sure to add an External Id, as per SuiteAnswers Id: 8069: "These ID values uniquely identify each records, and can provide primary keys to use for record matching and linking."
