NSC | Negative Inventory Adjustment > Incorrect Value
Scenario:
The user is wondering where the system is sourcing the Est. Unit Cost in the Inventory Adjustment record, as the value does not appear to be accurate.
Solution:
The Est. Unit Cost in an Inventory Adjustment is sourced from the Location Average Cost of the item. To verify this:
- Open the Item Record
- Navigate to the Purchasing/Inventory subtab
- In the Locations sublist, find the relevant location
- Check the Average Cost column for that location

In the example below, you’ll notice that the Negative Inventory Adjustment reflects an estimated unit cost of
