NSC | Enable After Transaction Entry
Scenario
User is trying to enable the "After Transaction Entry" option for inventory costing in NetSuite but can't find it.
Cause
Starting with NetSuite version 2020.1, new customer accounts no longer have the "After Transaction Entry" option under Inventory Costing Preferences. This change aims to optimize the customer experience, especially for accounts with many daily transactions, by encouraging the use of hourly or custom scheduling instead.
Solution
For accounts provisioned after 2020.1, you can't enable "After Transaction Entry." Instead, set the costing run frequency to "Every Hour" or "Based on Custom Schedule" in Setup > Accounting > Inventory Costing Preferences to manage inventory costing efficiently.
